Nope, in fact when I started up today's session, I forgot and had to turn it up as it was all the way down. Well, I mean on the interface. It's not real convenient to adjust the vols on the JBL's.

Actually, I didn't mean the volume knob on the interface.  I meant a volume knob on the speakers, either built in, or in line between them and the interface.  Mackie Big Knob is a popular option, but they're not cheap.  And as I mentioned above, a mixer between the interface and the speakers will also serve as a volume knob.  But what I guess I wasn't clear about was that it needs to be BETWEEN the interface and the speakers.

However, bitflipper is right, if the pop is coming from the power supply in the speakers then that might not help either.

it's ALWAYS best practice to power the speakers up LAST and power them off FIRST.

Yup just got a power strip.. I don't shut down often as I am on the pc  most of the day til 3, and then a few more hours in the evening. I am in the process of writing a book(not related) and doing this music. I try to spend equal time on both, and then a bit of relaxation in the evening.
