One thing this does do is encourage you to no longer buy a bundle and then try and sell off the duplicated pieces.  Waves offers upgrade pricing through retailers that I believe includes sales.  So don't make my mistake, ask everyPlugin/Plugin Discounts/AudioDeluxe/JRRShop/etc if they can offer you an upgrade price for that bundle that's on sale.
 
The real game change is if they ever ship V10, this is just a minor tweak at best.

I've had Gold for a while.  I'm out of WUP and I have no desire to let Gold go.
 
I had access to Mercury for a while and there are some VERY nice Waves plugs - but I don't need them.  Now I need them even less.
 
 

Selling Waves was not that easy a few months ago but the $29 for everything must have killed it dead. Selling you a bundle at $89 and then charging you for services at the full $799 is a policy that just has to irritate a predictable segment of people. I like to see people avoid predictably annoying policies that will hurt business.

I do have one unregistered copy of Abbey Road Vinyl I'll sell to the first reasonable offer. Since I never registered it there is no transfer fee.
