Hey Andrew, I bought these when the first came out from Boz Digital directly. How do I get hold of the PC versions?

With the previous +10db bundle the PC modules were added to the download from Boz. I would expect the same to be the case with the new release.

I'm sure Boz will hook it up. I'd email them directly.

OK... why is this EQ better than the other EQs we have like the IK T-Racks EQs and the ones that have come free with Sonar in the past?
Does it really sound better and why? Why isn't an EQ an EQ? Does it do more than cut or boost frequencies?

Thanks for the help.

89 bucks may be a good deal but with Black Friday so close I will have to wait. I have all the PC modules so far and am a little disappointed and surprised to see one that isn't included with Platinum but I guess I shouldn't be. Maybe I misunderstood or maybe it was just implied but I sort of thought things like this would be included with the annual Platinum. Oh well. I understand now. I'm not mad or anything, just need to budget my money for the sales. I may have just bought it if it had been offered at a different time. Maybe it is good that it wasn't, but anyway...

This is the black friday special. Won't be a further discount. It's already an incredible value.

OK, thanks. I understand. Is the $129 package a good deal too? I am not familiar with this but at only $40 more does it include more PC modules or is it one module with more functions or just the one PC module and some other VSTs?
Thanks,
J

It includes the +10DB with ProChannel versions and the Hoser XT with ProChannel versions. Normally that bundle is $199. It's a lot of hardware emulation for a reasonable price.

I also already had Hoser XT. I logged into the Boz Digital site and the version is now 1.08 (or was when I logged in). I downloaded 1.08 and it includes the ProChannel module in the overall installer.

This is the first ProChannel module (that I can think of) where if you click a button on the module the interface within the module changes to a different module UI. It behaves like the Hoser XT effect, in that it has different interfaces for regular EQ vs Mid Side EQ. So the team has done a nice job of carrying over the functionality, including screen changes, from the full effect to the ProChannel limited screen space. All that goodness is kind of crammed in there - but it's functional. So nice add to the ProChannel!

I'm having a hard time justifying it when I have the Quad Curve and even the LP64.  I don't know... The demo sounds nice, but maybe my ears aren't perceiving a quality over what you Cake guys have done yourself.  But what do I know... standing in front of Marshall amps for a decade or more on a regular basis....
Anyrate, I think it's super you guys can team up with 3rd party stuff.  I love the Nomad stuff.

At this price point, users would be better off exploring options with different capabilities and greater resell value like Kush Clariphonic, Eosis AirEQ, Sly-fi AXIS, etc.

Nothing wrong with the Boz plugins, but they are overpriced by quite a bit, especially considering their "partnership" with Cakewalk. You'd expect the "partnership" to result in some sort of discounted price.

Even the recently-released NOVA (TDR Labs) is a good alternative at 1/3 of the cost.

Hell I paid less for my Sonar Platinum membership! lol

Great. I like this a lot, especially the mid/side, stereo function. I've found uses for this straight away and can see this EQ being a regular starter for my projects. Particularly like the fact that it's Pro Channel friendly. I don't have many plugins I use outside of the ones installed with Sonar, but both this and the +10dB are very usable and definitely worth the expense.

If only we could pay nothing...oh wait, but then no one would have a job...hmm.
