Yes I clicked the "Buy Now" button and the amount in the Shopping Cart equates to $99.

Whereabouts are you?  The actual price varies from region to region, e.g. here in the U.K. there is 20% V.A.T. added.

I have A couple of problerns with the Platinum demo. I currently own X3E Studio and purchased an upgrade to Melodyne Assistant. Works great in X3. After down loading CCC and then Platinum, Sonar asked if I wanted to use my X3 setup files and I did so. Upon starting Splat it crashed when trying to load Melodyne. I opened X3 to check the vst folder locations.. Splat complained, so i shut down X3. . Now, Splat loaded up and thought that Melodyne was a good vst3. Only now it crashed when I tried to create a region. So far, a little frustrating, but hey, it's a demo. However, upon loading up X3, it starting doing crazy stuff when using Melodyne. Trying to bounce the clip would result in a straight line of silence. I finally had to uninstall Platinum and CCC to get X3 and Melodyne back to normal.

You can't run two versions at the same time as each program may want to access shared files, like plugins. They can be installed together but not run.

I get that I can't run both plug in managers at the same time. But I can't demo Platinum without disabling Melodyne(I renamed the vst3 file temporarily). Also, if I load a file that is using Melodyne it causes weird problems. Actually, with the limited time I did demo Platinum I did not seem much difference from X3. I have not done any editing so that remains to be seen, but loading times, using Vsti's seems about the same. If I want to demo it more I will have to reinstall it. There should be a way to use Melodyne Assistant or at least ignore it so the demo doesn't crash.

Lying is naughty.

Sonar is not the most advanced music production environment available today.

A quick follow up:
After I removed the Platinum Demo, my Plug in Manager  had no VST Configuration. The "Options", " Plug in Properties" and "Scan VST Plug-ins" box were grayed out. A call to support revealed that "VstScan" in Program Files/Cakewalk/Shared Utilities was deleted somehow in the uninstall process.  The solution was to download the X3 install files and reload. Since this was going to take from 2-20 hours, I decided to to a system restore which put the VstScan program back. Not a happy experience  trying the demo.

I've downloaded and installed CCC on my mac, but after I log into it, I'm not seeing ANYTHING product-wise. There should be, right?

If you are running C3 for OS X, there are no demo products. SONAR is a Windows only application. AKAIK, the products Cakewalk makes for OS X do not have demos at this time.
