In the volume automation line I can get a node where I click on. Suppose I click at two positions on the line and I have got two nodes.

My question is how can I drag the automation line segment up or down to increase and decrease volume as a whole? Now I am dragging one node up or down and then the other accordingly to make the line segment horizontal.

Please tell me the way.

Hi. You can use the draw tool (F9. On the lower right corner (on the draw tool icon), click and choose freehand. You should now be able to draw freehand.
Best of luck.

Don't create any nodes at all, simply select the region you want to be lowered or raised in the lower part of the track.
Then use the ctrl key to drag the entire section up/down. All 4 relevant nodes will be created for you.

If you want to adjust between two nodes, using the smart tool
Move the cursor near the top of the track between the nodes to adjust, the cursor will change to
Click the selection,
Click-drag up/down to adjust the area.

If no nodes are selected, the entire automation line will be moved
