When i create a patch point as a common output of several tracks and a new track with the input of that track being tbe same patch point (and said new track outputting to master) how do i solo that track without soloing all the other (inputting) tracks. ...which is what I'm having to do?

I have not really used patch points much yet, so cannot be of much help.

I have seen it discussed a lot on here, though.

This thread may be of some help:-

That may be the link to this post (the link above will not open but ends with "something").

As of now, the patch points do not carry the same functionality as tracks, so the best option is to put them into a folder, which will function in that manner. Going forward, I am concerned that after a project is no longer fresh in mind that the routing could turn into a nightmare to decrypt if using patch points willy nilly.

I've been using Folders as mettelus mentioned and so far it's working well.   I haven't done any real extensive routing though, mainly using PP/Aux tracks as pseudo-buses, but for that purpose Folders are very convenient.

We will likely have to add some functionality like we do with soloing buses to handle this. Its planned...

PS: Not directly related but the inspector is now "patchpoint aware". I guess we forgot to add this one to the release notes :)

When you select a track that routes to a patch point which in turn is an input to another track it will automatically show the associated track on the right "buddy" inspector strip.
So if you have Track 1 -> Patch Point -> Track 2, if you click on Track 1 the inspector will automatically show both track 1 and track 2

Similarly if you have a Bus A -> Patch Point -> Track 1, if you click on Bus A the inspector will automatically show both Bus A and Track 1
