SPOILER ALERT: Han Solo will soon verify "It's all true... the [registry hacks required], the [workarounds necessary],... it's all true."
On a serious note, in the registry, this path on the left pane:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\dp
has a string value on the right pane called "Multisamples Folder" - if you right click that, you can "Modify..." that to a different path. If you move the "
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro\Multisamples" folder to another drive, the new entry should be the new path
before the \Multisamples (in this case the "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro" which is the default)
What that entry does is give the path to Dimension Pro's internal browser window when it opens.
A simpler, more elegant "solution" would be to allow the user to use DP's browser window to navigate out of its "registry leash" and allow the user to assign a new (default) folder there, but that would require DP to be modified, which is unlikely.
