I just finished making my trailer! 100% original music too. I know they say in the rules that writing your own music for the trailer won't change the way they judge your submission, but it's all about having fun, right? :D

Why are these states NY, RHODE ISLAND AND FLORIDA excluded?
 
Thinking of why they would exclude us.!
1: Taxies hope not yet with the way the economy is today wouldn't be far off for some smart BLANK lawmaker to think of a way to steal another dollar out of us.
2: All states mention even those of other countries do have a film and/or music industry yet the sponsor are in such a state themselves hum...? How did they include their state and exclude others?
3: The sponsor just do not like the excluded states?
 
If it is a tax thing let me know would be wroth it to fight for a change.
 
I would write them a letter yet I think by the time they would reply the contest would be over.

I think the short answer is that some states have made it deliberately difficult to conduct contests of this type without the organizer jumping through hoops, or incurring additional costs or legal risk in doing so.

As a New Yorker myself, I've never heard of such laws or rules banning us from entering contests.
 
And as a life long Rocker myself, my 1st rule of creativity is; "THERE ARE NO STINK'IN RULES!"
OK, that being said, I really am curious as to why NYS artists are excluded??
(Is it because we use Sony Vegas Pro for tasks like this?)
