Using Win 7 here. Right click on Windows desktop, pick Screen Resolution, and under Multiple Displays, choose  Extend These Displays. Now in Sonar, you can 'float' whatever view you want to the second monitor. I keep Track View on 1st monitor (more midi work) and the Console View on my second monitor.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the replay
I had allready extend my screen to one big screen, and had just like you, keeping the track view on 1e ( left ) monitor and the console view on my 2e ( right ).
But what happens if you open the QuadCurve EQ in one of the tracks in the console view
does it open the new pro channel equalizer on the left or right of the channel ( say channel 1 )
I see mine on the left side from channel 1, so the pop up screen is diveded by the edges of both monitors
I am not sure if I explane it right, so you can understand what my problem is
Thanks again

Sonar has supported dual monitors from the beginning. Sonar 1 had dual monitor support. You never had to stretch the TV in order to use both monitors. In each window at the top toward the left is the menu to detach the view. X1 onward allowed dragging and dropping from the multidock.

Don't 'stretch' the image. Once you float a view, you can then drag it to the second monitor. Expand to fill just that monitor with the view.

Hi guys

Sorry for the delay....nightshift !!!!
I have reorganize my set up just as you suggested and it works allmost fine
Another problem which now accure is : when I pop up one or two plug-ins or go into the preferences menu pop-up, the image of my second screen ( right ), where the console is located
begin to stutter and blinking like hell,
When I close all the views from the plug-ins, everything is fine
I hope my explanation is understandible
Thanks in advance

Don't know really, but a couple possibilities come to mind like update the video drivers or a new video card or a bad cable. Maybe lower the resolution on the monitor.

My second monitor is older (free!) and doesn't have as high a resolution as my main screen. I actually like the lower resolution for some things as every thing is bigger! Really helps when I open some VST interfaces as the print is tiny and quite hard to read on high res. monitor. With quite a few VST windows, you can't change the type size or it's window is only one size and can't be expanded to fill the monitor screen.

OK, I will try that tomorrow
I must sleep now, because tonight I have to work again
Thanks

Hi. Just be aware that if second monitor is mounted above your primary monitor, you might get issues with the Saturation Knob in CV / Pro Channel. I have had dual monitors for several years (and have a workaround for it), and this is the only issue I have come across so far.
I could actually use at least one more monitor
All the best.

OK Guys,

I think I know what the problem is, because the blinking on the screen always appears on the other panel then where the plug-in does pop up and only when I use Ozone 6
Other plug-ins works just fine
So I think I am going to reinstal Ozone again and hope it will fix the problem
Regarding the issues with working on dual monitor....everything is fine now
lower the resolution on the monitor did not help but I did a new install of my AMD catalyst control software and everything is OK now
I thank you all for the advice and taking the time to help me out with my problems
I really appreciate it
Have a good life and greetings from Holland

As was mentioned in another thread a while ago, the problem is when your 2nd, 3rd etc monitor is either to the left or top of your main monitor, some applications have problems. This is because on those monitors the screen coordinates are negative (0, 0 is the top-left of your main monitor). So some applications (including plugins etc), foolishly think they should clip coordinates so that they are not negative, but negative coordinates are perfectly valid.

An alternative approach is what I just did - get yourself a 40" 4K monitor. This is the equivalent of 4 x full 20" HD monitors in both number of pixels and surface area. Once you do that, you will never have any of these problems, as well as never want to go back to anything smaller. I can't recommend it highly enough.
