Lately I have not been able to use SONAR with the default 1&2 as output. (this is when I'm using ASIO driver. If I route the main output to 3&4 it works normal, or if I change to WDM drivers. 
First time I installed the new Cakewalk it worked (sound out of 1&2) till I did a restart, then I was back to the same trouble.
The ASIO driver works perfectly in Pro Tools and Studio One 3. (but not in Soundforge, here I also have to use the WDM driver)
Any Ide what the problem can be?
PS! I have the latest update on WIN 10 now, but there was noe difference with this version...

Does that mean the Lynx Mixer shows no outut on 1&2?  Assuming they're not muted, of course. 

Correct. The Lynx mixer shows no output on 1&2, but in Cakewalk everything looks normal (Shows output on channels, busses and main out. It seems like Cakewalk cannot "Take exclusive control" of the default output in WIN sound settings.
(This did work normal before. )

Yes, off course. But they haven't found out anything yet (we have tried a couple of things, and haven't given up yet  ). But the strange thing here is that PT12 and Studio One 3 is working perfectly as expected.

I had something like this, i believed the problem was with windows audio routing. so what i did is I made  windows use outputs 15-16 as its default output instead of 1-2 which is the default. then in the lynx mixer i would route 15-16 trough 1-2. that seemed to clear up my problems. This was when I i had the onboard sound card disabled and windows needed a device to play sounds so it took outputs 1-2 which caused problems especially if i was using sonar and other windows app that played sounds at the same time i.e. youtube, media player ect,,,

I also believe that it is a problem with Windows audio routing, but it is strange that it works perfectly in Pro Tools and in Studio One 3. It seems like Cakewalk cannot "Take exclusive control" of the default output in WIN 10 anymore. There got to be a "missing link" in the way Cakewalk handles this. I will try your suggested workaround when I'm in the studio again.

Yes.

I Have tried to use 15&16 as Windows default playback device now, but still no sound out of Sonar on 1&2
