Trying to load a full preset with the transport going will cause freaky things to occur. The ins/outs are still "active" as far as SONAR can see, but the guts are getting jumbled and need to come online. It should stabilize once it does, but it seems that when you did this it "stuck" that way? Did stop/starting the transport have effect? I have not swapped presets in Ozone 5 recently with the transport running, so not specifically tested this. If it is CPU-related, it should stabilize and run the buffer through... if it takes 15 seconds you might want to check upstream processing to lighten the load, as it were. If it truly "stuck" that way, something is up.
Getting such from making an EQ change I would definitely not expect. Ozone 5 is CPU-heavy, so freezing/bouncing things to free up CPU might help. I tend to bounce/render things a lot because of CPU-paranoia although I am probably more over zealous than I need to be.
