Maschine 2.3 crashes Sonar, and, when it doesn't completely crash, it has screwy midi issues. I'm not looking for a fix or tech help my friends, just giving a bit of info and a warning to my fellow Maschine users. I rolled back 2 updates to 2.2.3 and Maschine is working as advertised. Some of your expansion packs may not work after the roll back only because their update requirement is 2.3. To roll back your Maschine update just install an earlier update. If you want to remove the subsequent non working expansion packs just uninstall in Windows Programs and features like you would with any other program.

i have had the same problem & i have contacted NI about it.  word has it, they are working on this issue for a future release. in the meantime, i bounce all my Maschine tracks & then import them into Sonar

I'm taking delivery of a used Maschine Mikro in the next couple of days and was planning to upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 immediately.  Getting Maschine working within Sonar already looked like a bit of a pain, so my plan was to export from Maschine and import into Sonar.  Therefore, presumably I shouldn't have the problems highlighted by the OP?  Wetdentist - would you mind elaborating on the process when you say:-

my process is the same as your plans to export/import.  the disadvantage is that i can't have the Maschine opened up as a plugin in Sonar for if i want to make changes to my Maschine beats while working in Sonar.  it's kind of a pain in the neck

I use Maschine as a plugin like any other multitimbral synth in Sonar. I assign different midi channels to groups as well as individual sounds in Machine and use Sonar to record and edit the midi and audio.

@twisted6s i would like to do that as well, but Maschine 2.3 crashes all Sonars without fail.  hope that is fixed in 2.5 (or even 2.3.1)

A fellow Sonar user (Mystic38) also experienced this issue and had me check my system (following his youtube instructions) on using Maschine 2.3 as a plugin. I suppose I was lucky as mine didn't crash.
 
He basically had me open a new project, added Maschine 2.3 plugin, (played with a few samples), saved it, and closed Plat. Reopened Plat with that project and everything worked as normal. His one just crashed on reopening.
 
Hopefully, NI will have this resolved soon.

twisted6s, at this point it would be pointless for me to roll back out of 2.3 because almost all my current projects require it, so i am just hanging tight until the fix comes out by NI
