So I assume you got round to rescanning the failed plugins because that's the issue. Ta.

Re-read my posts above.  Yes, I went through all of the obvious troubleshooting steps.  I rescanned the plugins, including the failed plugins and permanently excluded plugin options, numerous times.  The scanner went through the process, while I watched each time, and it did not detect Maschine 2.4 (instrument version), but detected every other NI VST in my VST folder.  The odd thing, though, which I forgot to mention, is that it detected and loaded the Maschine 2.4 FX version all along, just not the instrument version.  It wasn't until the "zillionth" time (probably the 20th time) rescanning that it crashed when scanning the Glitchmachines plugins.  I uninstalled them, rescanned again, and it then finally detected the Maschine 2.4 instrument version.  So, the problem was obviously not as simple as rescanning a failed plugin - the plugin scanner was simply not detecting the Maschine 2.4 instrument DLL.  I have no idea why the Glitchmachines plugins crashed the scanner after successfully scanning them probably 20 times in a row, or why it didn't detect Maschine 2.4 prior to those plugins crashing the scanner, but whatever was going on under the hood seems to be resolved now.  Incidentally, I reinstalled the Glitchmachines plugins afterward and they *seem* to be working fine now, too, but I didn't spend much time testing them.

Well that's very odd, if all you are doing is rescanning over and over again, you should not see any change in behavior whatsoever unless you've made some changes in between those scans, or you have some process away from Sonar occasionally locking something such as a virus scanner.

Anyway, never seen that one nor have I read about any scenario like that in the forums. glad you have it resolved.

These problems are exactly what I was experiencing previously-- tardiness between pad and sound, sluggishness in UI,  instability, etc. (scroll back in this thread) and it was fixed by changing the USB port the Maschine controller was plugged into. Yes, I know that sounds absurd.

If you are having problems with the Maschine VSTi, I suggest unplugging the hardware, restarting Sonar, and trying again. If performance improves, this may be the culprit.

I use Win10, Sonar (now up to JP), Maschine day in and day out with no issues whatsoever.

Makes sense if we are going back to the OP's topic now with Maschine 2.4/JP...
