Hi Sonar friends,
Is there any way of converting Pitch Bend Wheel information into Modulation Wheel information in real time?
I have a Yamaha keyboard that I am using as a keyboard controller but it has no Mod Wheel! Only Pitch Bend Wheel! I need to send Mod Wheel information in real time to my VSTIs. Is there any Midi plugin that converts it in real time?

Thank you very much

2 quick thoughts:

Can you remap it on the keyboard?
Checkout something like Xotopad or TouchOSC that would let you record controllers in real-time on a tablet or on your PC.

Sorry DRanck! I didn`t notice you have answered my post.

I really don`t know if my Electric Piano can remap it`s pitch bend. I don`t think it can. It is a cheap Yamaha piano.
I was wondering if Sonar could make a pitch bend to mod wheel in real time.
I have looked at Xotopad and TouchOSC but I am looking for something different.
I also have another keyboard but all of them are five octaves and my piano has 76 keys.
I think I should buy a new 76 keys controller.

Thank you very much for your attention.

Does your Yamaha have programmable faders or knobs?  If so just assign one to CC1.

No MarioD, it is just a Piaggero Piano with some automatic acompanniment.

Thank you for your interest.

Hi friends,

Unfortunately I didn`t solve my problem with those two listed tools sugested by our friends. CC MAP remapps one CC into another and I have found out that Pitch Bend Wheel is not a CC!!!

The other tool only works as a VST Instrument in Sonar and I could not figured out how to apply it to a MIDI keyboard controller track. I have tried to contact the manager but no success.

Maybe it is a good idea to the Cakewalk Developers to work on that kind of tool! It looks simple but it is not.

Thank you all.

If you are ready to use one man developed closed source plug-in (some users here do no trust such programs) and you are ready to test it (I mean it can take several iterations till you are satisfied), I can write it for you. That will cost you nothing in terms of money
