Dark Gate is Sonitus:Gate based ProChannel FX Chain module.
Rotary knobs are adjusted for vocal and drum gating/expanding.
 
Default setting is 5 dB expander, threshold -52 dB, attack 2 ms, hold 156 ms, release 202 ms, lookahead 2.1 ms.
 
 
Vocals: Add Depth to make it more gate than expander. Set threshold so that ambience noise is gated but breathing noises come thru (unless you want to get rid of breathing).
 
Drums: Turn treshold up until weakest hits are gated, then turn back a bit.
Kick drum: Treshold 2 o'clock, Depth 10 o'clock.
Snare: Threshold 1 o'clock, Depth 9 o'clock. Finally adjust by ear while listening to the hi-hat spill (in case you have recorded real drumkit)
Toms: adjust by ear - depends on cymbal spill.
 
General cleanup: Set Hold, Release and LookAhead to maximum.

Copy file to C:\Cakewalk Content\SONAR Platinum\FX Chain Presets or whatever your SONAR version's FX Chain Presets folder is.

Monthly updates overwrite sonar mods. Unfortunately they have to be reinstalled after every update.

Perhaps read my question and comment again. I know it needs to be reinstalled. It does not load anymore after I installed Ipswich.

Dark Side loads perfectly in the newest SONAR updates.
I will check Reindeer situation next weekend.
