Another thing that upgrading does is show you how Cakewalk is really pushing development at a fast pace, responding to users concerns and requests with features and fixes. Also they said they would continue to release updates at a monthly rate as features were ready. They have have been good to their word with releases of features every month.

While some have mentioned bugs, whether you are effected by them may be dependent on lots of things. Not denying there's bugs, just they're not universal to every user.

Synth recording and aux track routing does it for me. That's been a revolution in my workflow, both practically and creatively. In addition to all the other bonuses that Beepster listed. Performance and stability has gotten a boost (for the majority of users anyway) and there are some awesome new tools like the Drum Replacer and VocalSync. I'm very happy with the upgrade and it's kind of exciting to see what new improvements and goodies they'll lay on us each month with the subscription plan.
