iLok had no discernable difficulty though it shows two separate entries for Hybrid here...

I'll try VST Scanner again today though i did a few re-boots yesterday between attempts...

Sure enough! The registry is now loaded with entries for this synth!

Don't forget, it is possible to create a log of the scan activity by holding the SHIFT key while clicking the scan or reset buttons.

Where would i find the log afterwards (win8.1) ?

Would I then send this to a cakewalk error report? Is this still available or simply use the pinned post in this forum?

I filed reports at pluginboutique and air....

when a log is requested at the end of the scan a message pops up with the path

The default location for Hybrid is Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins
 
Make sure that is included in your list of paths.  Mine wasn't, so I had to add it to pick up Hybrid

When I installed I changed the folder location to the CbB vstplugins folder as I always do. I see the hybrid.dll in the correct folder.

Maybe i'll try adding the steinberg folder though i don't use it... on the off chance there's something odd going on...

Tried this, but got no toast with path...

If the message does not appear, it is likely the key sequence was not entered correctly. In Preferences > File > VST Settings hold down the SHIFT key and click the Scan button.
