Hi all,
My computer upgraded to Win10 from Win7.
I reinstalled the latest drivers for the FireStudio project, it connects, the light is blue, the universal control and mixer interfaces open perfect. if I play any type of audio - mp3, youtube, or something from Sonar - meters show sound outputting to Daw1/Daw2 - and on the OUT1-2 meter - all show activity - yet there is no activity on the firestudio front face led meters, and no sound output to the speakers that are hooked up to it.

I have a client sitting in the waiting room - and can't figure this out. I know it must be something simple - but am having brain freeze. Please help

Thank you so much.
Chris

Latest firmware?
Using a VIA FireWire chipset?
If you have a client 'waiting' roll back. Bad idea to upgrade OS at this time..

Latest firmware - yes
meters are registering in the on the software end - on my pc - but no sound coming out of the firestudio
I don't think its a VIA firewire chipset

In Sonar, in preferences, is playback and record timing master set?

Is the output in the project set to outputs on your interface?

Try shutting down the computer and turning it back on. Restart won't do it. This happens every time I get a Windows update with my focusrite 6 usb.

You could also try  unplugging the usb to the interface and plugging it back in.

I had the issue for awhile with my outdated Presonus Fp10's because the last driver/patch was for windows 7. I had to run the installer for the driver in compatibility mode. Perhaps try running your interface in compatibility mode for windows 7.

Make sure Windows Audio  is disabled in the Device Manager and possibly your bios.  This get enabled when Windows 10 is installed, and can override the drivers for your audio interface.

Another place to check is in the control panel, under "Sound".  Make sure your audio interface is still the default sound device.
