I'm really not sure what is going on. In the past when I've panned a mono track hard right or hard left it would be almost completely silent in the opposite speaker. For example panning hard right- very little sound would be in the left channel. Now when I do that it just gets quieter in both channels. I've tried several projects and this is true for them all. I though it was maybe a new bug but I don't see anyone else on here having the same problem. Any ideas would be most welcome. It's making getting a good mix nearly impossible.

Some audio interfaces have a mono output mode; sounds like maybe the Audient is one of them.

Thanks. That wasn't exactly the right answer but it got me thinking and looking in the right direction. I tried unsuccessfully to find how it the id14 had gotten switched to mono output on the software interface, but couldn't get it. However in the manual they tell you how to do a default reset by deleting a file which automatically replenishes when you open the id14 up again. Problem solved. I have stereo again and oh what a difference it makes! I thought at first that something was wrong with my hearing, and then my Bose headphones and then Sonar.  So thank you!

You could also use channel tools and swap sides with the mix
