Hey guys
It persists, it is not single occurrence. My system started to have new audio dropouts. It happens with the big projects, but I dont thing it is memory issue as I have 16 Gb of ram. I think small projects affected too. Some time I am not even playing anything, and the pop up in a cornet appears, saying, "Audio dropout". Other times it happens during the playback and even during recording. I do not remember having this issue. I dont know if it is Windows 10 update or if it is last update to the software. I am using Presonus Studio Live 24, and Presonus claims that there should be no issues. Any suggestions? Thank you.

By the way- can somebody, please, move this thread to Sonar section- not sure how I posted it here. Thanks.

WOW - I need more coffee - I think I moved this thread from Sonar forum TO the Sonar forum.  DOH!

Vlada - the Presonus StudioLive 24 has its on built-in WiFi - and lots of folks with laptops and WiFi have latency issues.

Just for a test - please disable the WiFi and see if that has an effect on the dropouts.

I'll circle back to this thread in a little bit - I have been gone for a few days now, moving to another state, so I have some catching up to do on a bunch of things.

Just delete the placeholder thread... nobody will know ;)

Anyway...

Try deleting AUD.INI first (google for details).
After that, IF running latest Sonar (you don't state which specific version) go to Sonar preferences and disable - allow arm changes during playback.

My Studio live does not have WiFi.
I don't have audible latency. It just stops the playback.

I am using platinum. This is a new problem. Is AUD.ini solution windows 10 specific? Thanks.

I'm seeing a number of very recent interface issues where this has resolved a similar issue, especially with Windows 10.
Please follow BOTH the steps if you will in my previous post please to see if this works or not. All you will have to do afterwards is reconfigure your interface in Sonar preferences. This is definitely worth a try otherwise I would not have suggested it. Google for details. Thanks.

1) I am thinking there is some AUD.INI corruption issue happening when upgrading to Win10. It could be other reason though TBC.
2) There is a known performance bug with arm record monitoring. Latest Splat.

Must be done in the order I specify..

just as a note, I've exactly the same problem since latest Sonar update (ipswich) on Windows 10.
Very strange especially are audio dropouts in idle mode without playing anything.

I had a similar issue on Win 10. Calling a exorcist and having him remove Avast Anti-Virus fixed it for me. Ok, that was a bit dramatic. Still true though. ;-)

There was a thread started here by me a while back about Windows 10 upgrade turned my internal audio drivers and sound controller back on! Check in the Device Manager and see if your internal sound card has been re-enabled. If so, dis-able. Do you know how to do that? I'll watch here for a response and if you don't, I will be happy to help.
If you do know how, look under System Devices and dis-able the HD Audio Controller. That will take the internal sound device completely off line, drivers and all. That one step has helped me get my latency down to almost nothing.
