  • COLLAPSED PROCESSORS EXPAND WHEN CLONED

I built my own 32 channel template and noticed the processors that I had collapsed expanded when I cloned the channel strips. I went in and collapsed all the strips one at a time, really not a big deal but I don't remember this happening in the past, but am not sure about that. I updated to "Jamaica plain" a couple of weeks ago and love the new features, not sure if that is my problem though. Anyone else having this same issue?
  Thanks, Bob

Yes, confirmed here.

Don't know if it's a bug or "as intended"

From my perspective a processor is something to do with CPU. What do you mean my 'processor'.. Cheers..

You mean when you cloned the tracks? Do you mean the ProChannel strip (in the Console View)?

If so did you have the Prochannel open on the track you cloned in the Console View?

That might be it. Close the Prochannel pop out of the track you intend to clone and maybe it won't happen.

Unchecking the "Properties" box in the clone track dialog may keep it from happening as well (not sure exactly what that does but I think it might affect such things).

This is all just guesses though as a) I've never experienced this and b) have not yet installed JP. I also don't use the CV Prochannel popouts (but have been meaning to).

Cheers and welcome to the forum.

edit: oops... I glossed over that part. Still maybe check it out. Not at my DAW right now.

Right I have no clue what is meant by "processor" in this context.

"Processor" is a pretty common terminology for effects units/modules/etc. Like "effects processor".

I'm pretty sure the OP is referring to the Prochannel strips in the Console View (which is the only place where you'd see multiple Prochannel instances AFAIK and the usage of the term "strips" leads me to think it a CV thing even more so).

I may be wrong.

Of course.
I'm always right.
Except when I'm wrong.
Which I usually am.

But that does not negate the fact I'm always right.

If I didn't have delusions of grandeur there would be no grandeur left in my life at all.
