Is the menu there and when you press the window does not come up, or is the entire menu gone, so you cant select it..
Have you configured your toolbars so that its visible in sonar??

The little grid icone is there (on top of the track view with all the other stuff) so I can turn snap mode on and off. It is the snap options menu which doesn't show up. I can no longer decide if objects snap to 1/4, 1/8, etc I'm stuck in 1/16th. The pop-up menu doesn,t pop up anymore. Everything else works fine. Go figure...

Hint: I used to have a two monitor setup and now I have only one. Maybe it is is appeering on a fantomatic other monitor or something...

Its off your screen somewhere. Do you use dual monitors? check the other one if you do. If you still cant see it, then you need to look behind the windows and see if its behind there. If its not, then you need to decrease your screen resolution so you can see more real estate and then drag it back to the center.
Its off screen or hidden behind something. Try them both

Nope, noting worked. I did the low rez thing, then went back to two monitors (using the one monitor but switching the cable from one video out to the other). No sign of the snap options menu. Weird eh? Wonder if I could reset everything to default. I have reinstalled Sonar but somehow it kept all my settings. darn! Isn't there a ''reset to default'' like with hardware synths etc? Isn't there an initialasion file somewhere I could reset?

You can edit the coordinates in the registry (that's for XP):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR Producer\6.0\SnapDlg

Close Sonar, then go to Windows start menu:

start > run... type regedit into the box, click OK. When the registry editor opens, navigate to that key in the left pane - it's like a path in Windows explorer. Click the "SnapDlg" key (folder), and you'll see the values for LastX and LastY in the right-hand pane. These are the screen coordinates for the dialogue box in Sonar. Double-click each of them and type in some low value, so the snap dialogue will be set near the upper left corner. Close the editor and start Sonar.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you're editing the right key. Better make a back-up of the registry, just in case... (File > export...)
