I figured I'd pick up some products from Cakewalk as long as the holiday sale is going on, so I bought the PC Synth Bundle to get Dimension and Rapture while they're low in price. Unfortunately when trying to install either of them, I'm greeted with a message informing me that "WriteRegKey" (which I assume is Cakewalk's authentication daemon) is a PowerPC application and won't run under OS 10.7. At this point, even if I enter the correct key into the installer window, it tells me that the key is invalid. I'm fairly certain that the problem is related to WriteRegKey, as I've Googled the issue and tried common solutions such as fixing permissions to no avail.

Seeing that Cakewalk's support center is closed for the Holidays until Monday, I figured I'd ask here to see if anyone has has similar issues in the past. I'd really like to be able to use the products I just payed for, so if anyone could help me out I'd be really grateful.

A screenshot of the installer window and error message is attached.

Actually, you might as well have just thrown your money right into the trashbin, as OS X Lion is not supported. Probably never will.

Hey Colinssx, My guess is the download for that package includes the older installers. Please try visiting the support pages and downloading the latest installers: http://www.cakewalk.com/S...b/reader.aspx/20080131 http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013167 Best Regards, Chad
