  • [Solved] "record" button stuck on after JP update

All projects started prior to JP have a red record button stuck on in the last channel (rightmost channel) in Console view.
I can't click it off. If I select any of the other channels (from the bottom of the channel) their red record indicators turn on too.

I going to try manually downloading the update and re-install in case there was a corruption during download.
How do I revert back to the previous version?

Does deselecting  the global record button have any effect?

You can roll back with Command Center, right click on Sonar and choose the version you want to rollback to.

Thanks for the reply.
I can't deselect the global record button, it is stuck too. It momentarily flashes "busy" when I press it but immediately returns to red.
I tried rolling back but the problem still persists.

When I open older projects the problem is not there. Only the recent Ipswitch projects have the problem.

Usually this sort of behaviour is audio interface drivers (yup it may have worked before but that won't rule this out).

Update your audio interface drivers and firmware. Delete AUD.INI (google for details).

Disable arm record monitoring during playback in preference.

Also try starting in Sonar safe mode..

If no joy after that contact support I suggest.

I just tried creating a new project from one of the Sonar templates and it comes up with channel 1 stuck in record mode. This is a blank project with no audio or midi files.

Yep, I did all of the above plus I completely uninstalled and re-installed with no change. Still stuck on record in a completely blank project. It doesn't do this in the older projects.
Thanks for your help.
I will post back here if I get any new information.

I have noticed this on my system too. If I go to track view on mine I can arm and disarm as expected.

Thank you, Teego. That's good info.
Unfortunately for me, the problem is exactly the same whether in Track view or Console view.

Have you rebooted since this started? Sounds like your audio driver/firmware has gotten into a bad state.
