Very good upgrade. Makes 'printing' the metronome much easier. Next upgrade should include an 'Insert Click Track' that automatically creates an audio track with the metronome audio.

For me it is very simple. I really like Sonar however I also like some features that other DAWs have. If CW can incorporate those features I get everything I want. I don't want to use the other DAWs thus I win. Where is the downside to that? Don't forget other DAWs copy features from Sonar. They just aren't Sonar!

For me it is very simple. I really like Sonar however I also like some features that other DAWs have. If CW can incorporate those features I get everything I want. John, that was a Gentleman's and high road response, which I commend you for.Otherwise the op was trolling and being a bit snarky. IF there is an issue with a DAW make a CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, that helps us and the vendor.
Otherwise a statement to the effect,  "duh, they stole xyz ideas and features" is, well, a noisy gong or clattering cymbal..

Very strong update.  I've got to learn to work the new patching features better but my initial experiments were good.  I fairly quickly looked for a Patch Point view to see all of the Patch points but I suppose that this new feature has some maturing to do in the next few months.
 
I sort of expected it to work like PT but it has some differences and that's just something that will take a little practice till it becomes second nature.  It's a welcome feature and it lends itself to users who wish to use it or those who wish to leave things alone.

Or make a loop with your favorite metronome sound, and include it in your standard project template. Then you won't need to "insert click track," it will already be there.

I just finished an article on 5 techniques for Patch Points. It even includes a Led Zeppelin story just to keep it interesting  Cakewalk will probably post it in the blog in the next day or two.

Okay, Cakewalk wins...I re-enabled the Start Screen. It really is a whole lot faster, it goes away the second you click on the file menu, and it doesn't re-appear when you close the project.

Also, it seems to handle non-English characters much better than before.

Yes, that was another one of the fixes.
