Sonar X3e crashing when opening Maschine 2 2.3.0 projects

Cakewalk does not have access to Native Instruments source code, the thread you should be posting on is here:

Right now it looks like the buck stops with Native Instruments. Cakewalk cannot be expected to fix their bug.

Yeah I am on hat thread and have posted several times. I was just thinking that possibly NI was passing the buck since only cakewalk users experience the problem. Obviously I hope it wrong. I just want a fix ASAP.

That is good news!

Hadn't dared try Sonar and my new Machine Mikro together in view of the error. Looks like I'll soon be able to try it out!

The Sonar aspects seem vague in the list of fixes. Maschine 2 2.3 also couldn't be configured as a multitimbral vst in Sonar. 2.2.1 did this with no problem.
