Instead of grouping tracks to a bus I put all of those tracks in a folder and add an aux track to it, routing all of the tracks to the aux. All of the tracks are together in the folder.

If I'm using an effects return that's only for a group of tracks that I have grouped in a folder, I'll set up the return as an aux track. For instance, I might be using a room reverb or a delay that's only being used for drums. It goes in the drums folder instead of behind the curtain. Far more logical and organized.

If I'm using an effects return that's used widely across the whole project, I'll set up a bus for that as usual. It can stay behind the curtain, out of the way.

The old way of doing things seems so archaic already.

Good points.  And now I can control all my "busses" (aux tracks) with my Mackie Control!

It appears at first blush that people are just posting problems.   Are there people who think this is worth downloading and why?

Of course you should update, every update gives big improvement!
And you can always easily rollback for a while if there are some new issues that disturb you, and wait for it to be fixed. But it is very unlikely scenario.

Sonar Pt-JP works fine so far.  Some useful improvements.  However, I was disappointed that CW abandoned the new Start Menu opening when a project is closed, and after only one month.  It worked fine for me when the internet was off and it was nice to have the uniformity of operation.  I hope they bring it back as an option.

Cheers

Now my track philosophy is thus:

Instead of grouping tracks to a bus I put all of those tracks in a folder and add an aux track to it, routing all of the tracks to the aux. All of the tracks are together in the folder.

Sharke, do you route the aux tracks, in the folders, to the master bus? So in general, you don't have any buses other than the master?

Thanks

It seems that the problems reported by some users have been (or are being) addressed.

Personally, I haven't experienced any issues and the new routing options are excellent :-)

It's definitely loading faster and running smoother for me. Haven't had a hiccup yet. I would definitely update if I were you.
