Which of the two I/F's is actually connected to your PC Mike?

Yes sorry why I type Mike I have know idea must have had a brain wind pass.

LOL no problem, right now I have the Pro24 DSP selected as my I/Os but I can select the 56s in the Sonar driver dialog. The spdifs and opticals are all patched thru an MAudio digipatch panel.

I guess the bottom line is what shows up in Preferences > Audio > Devices, and do you see SPDIF ports in the I/O lists for audio tracks?

Oh yes I have the relevant digital I/O s checked in the sonar drivers box and in the track drop downs also
I just downloaded two fosusrite knowledge base articles and will try tonight following those steps, along with the Elevens manual regarding digital I/Os integration.
