I have a project that keeps appearing in the smart screen even though it has been deleted. It is pined to the start screen, but when I click on the thumbtack icon so that is no longer light blue, close and reopen the start screen the project is still there and the thumbtack icon is still light blue.

Is there a reset for the smart screen?

Thanks

You should be able to kill it with a regedit.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Cakewalk Music Software\SONAR Producer\ (your version) \Recent File List

Click on the file name

Press Delete

Exit the registry editor.

Thanks if I have to use regedit I will, but surely there is a more user-friendly method.
and this will not resolve the thumbtack issue of not working correctly.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Still, having to use regedit to reset a “updated feature” perplexes me.
It takes the “Up” out of “Update”

Again, thanks for the helpful replies

So I used regedit to remove all "Recent File List" except Default (value not set)

In the smart screen all files were deleted except the ones that has a thumbtack. I removed the thumbtack and closed/open splat and the thumbtack was back on.

I have no idea what is going on, any help would be great...

So am I the only person with wonky thumbtacks?

I have pinned and unpinned a few projects, and so far they've done what I expect them to.  I haven't actually deleted any of the underlying projects though.

Thanks Bob
Yes the pinning and unpinning of thumbtacks only happens with the deleted projects.
I've just checked regedit again and they are not in the list so I have no idea where the bad reference is on my PC

For me at least the start screen is a “updated feature” which is a "downgrade"
