I have X3 Producer.  Does the latest version (e) still have that bug where the text in U-He plugins doesn't work right?  U-He is half my work, and I always use custom patches, so I don't want to install it to my new Windows 10 machine if the bug persists.  Don't want to jump on the annual fee bandwagon either though.  I'll stick with Cubase if X3 doesn't work with U-He plugs.  Thanks in advance!

Yes the bug still persists, however there is a very simple workaround. If you want to program sounds load your U-he synth into Savihost (just google the name it will come up with a link) then when you want to compose you can just load it up in Sonar as normal.

Thanks.  Yeah, I need to work on sounds within the DAW.

Okay another work around, which I have also done. Design your patch, open notepad and type in the name you would like to call the patch, highlight the word/phrase and press ctrl + c, go to your U-he synth click in the preset name box and press ctrl + v.

Wouldn't it be easier to just click on the little keyboard icon in the top right of the plugin window? It gives the plugin all keystrokes. That's what I have done when I have needed to change something.

Brian, that has never worked for this bug.  This is a multi-year issue they never resolved, which is the main reason I switched to Cubase.  Not interested in workarounds when using my main synths (all U-He).  I gave Cake my money for 15 years, and they couldn't fix this issue for me over four years since X1.  I had hoped they would offer a patch.  I might have returned as a customer.

Thanks for your replies.

Does anyone know whether the bug is fixed in the latest version?

Thanks for your troubles.

This has been an issue FOREVER... should be fixed.  Really annoying and stupid...It rarely comes up for me but when it does I go "arrrrrrg... wtf" all over again...

Must be hundreds of artist hours spent on this issue in threads for the past decade... thousands if you count all the reading involved...

Has this been added to the suggestions forum???

BTW, if this is fixed, I apologize but last I tried it wasn't...

Why would people assume this to be a cakewalk bug? Other plugins work with similar functionality. Has anybody contacted U-he?

Btw 'it works in cubase' does not make it a Cakewalk bug.

This issue was resolved with the initial release of the new SONAR. I just tested "give all keystrokes" with the Bazille preset save screen on Platinum Ipswich and it works.
