Why would people assume this to be a cakewalk bug? Other plugins work with similar functionality. Has anybody contacted U-he?

Btw 'it works in cubase' does not make it a Cakewalk bug.

i'm surprised you seem to have no recollection of this topic, which has been discussed many times over the years https://www.google.co.uk/#q=u-he+text+site:forum.cakewalk.com

Must you audit, piggyback and nag at everything I do like one of the two old blokes sitting in the muppet theatre?

I'm sorry I'm not living up to your expectations... But perhaps for a change you could actually contribute something of your own rather than continuously piggy backing threads with your judgement calls and trolling which help nobody? Would that be too much to ask?

Post #2 says the bug still persists and that's what I had to go on before Scook came along. So if biodiode can please double check, because he said it isn't working.. I have no idea BTW I don't own these plugins. All I have stated is that one cannot assume that this is a cakewalk bug which is completely true. If it turns out to be a cakewalk bug then fine. If it turns out to be a U-He bug then fine. I really don't give a monkeys. My point was people should maintain an open mind here and felt it was an important point to make.

Is that OK by you or is there some other judgement or comment you wish to carry out which will exert your superiority?

It's been a confirmed bug for years, Dok.  I and many others contacted U-He about it years ago and they contacted Cake and it was later confirmed.  So now, go back and read my posts above, only this time accept them as correct.

Thanks scook for confirming it was fixed.  Too bad only fixed for upgraders after long-time users complained about it for years.  In my opinion, it's wrong not to issue bug fixes for the reasonable life of the product (at least 6-8 years).  Those days are gone because we have accepted it.  The whole industry's approach now is to offer paid upgrades (and we comply) to fix the bugs.  No wonder Cake went to a subscription model.  It was basically what they were already doing.

I'm sure it's probably fixed... which is good... but I still have some confusion about the comments made on post #2. Cheers...

This issue was resolved with the initial release of the new SONAR. I just tested "give all keystrokes" with the Bazille preset save screen on Platinum Ipswich and it works.

Yep, works fine with Tyrell.

Apologies for any confusion, I have had no need to try give all keystrokes on the new Sonar release, as all my u-he instruments were registered and I had not done any preset tinkering of late. I could not see it as a fix in the copious notes provided with each release and therefore assumed the issue must still be there considering the nature of the query by Gonga. Although there were very simple workarounds that I am sure lots of us used.

Once again apologies for the confusion.

For some reason with Sampletank 3 (not 2, that doesn't work at all) I can't seem to type the letter 'u' into it's search field.  Doesn't seem to matter if I give all keystrokes or not.  Every other letter seems to work just fine, but no u.  This is with 64bit Ipswitch Platinum. Other soft synths (Kontakt 5) don't seem to have a problem with 'u' but Sampletank 3's search won't let me type it.  Not exactly a huge deal but I was curious if anyone else has the same problem?

No, works fine here.

No need to apologise at all, it's great you supplied feedback... Thanks..

Just in case someone finds this thread, I worked out why I couldn't use the U key in Sampletank 3's search box.  Turns out U is one of the alphabetic characters that aren't mapped by default inside Sonar and I had assigned it (without any shift or Alt) to Center View On Now Time.  Even with the "Give All Keystrokes to Plug-In" active for some reason Sampletank (and only Sampletank, Kontakt doesn't have this problem) would not get the U key.

My solution was to change the shortkey to ALT+U.

It's definitely a bug of some sort though.  Not clear exactly who's bug it is though, maybe it's both Sonar and Sampletank's.  In any case I'm happier now I can search for "drum".
