@John... Ha! Yeah that was quite an adventure. I wasn't even a user here yet so I didn't have kind folks like yourself to harass. How I made it through I do not know. ;-p

Crap... how did I miss that other ultra kind post. John, you sir are a superstar and you helped solve so many of my problems right off the bat and made me feel welcome. I owe you like all the beers. ALL OF THEM! I hope you are having an awesome weekend.

Okay... I think I'm gonna reboot just to let all the bits and bytes settle down. Might sound silly considering this program did not request a reboot but I do it out of habit anyway. BRB.

So just for the basic install of BFD Eco and all it's updates and content it has taken me about 2 hours over broadband. Now I'm gonna snag the Platinum Samples Rock Legends bonus which probably won't apply to anyone who doesn't take advantage of this current special of BFD Eco for $50 which is running until August 31.

Looks like Rock Legends might already be installed. Now it's time to play. I might be back tonight... I might not. I'll update this as I play with the program. Thanks for reading.
Scratch that. Now that I have BFD open I am not seeing it in my kits list so I'm gonna see if I can register it at Platinum Samples website. Log In > Register a new product > "Please select the product type" > BFD Sample Library >Please enter your new product's s/n...

BAH! Okay. I've got some more installing to do. Now I have 5 zip files to download all of them around a GB each except the first one which is a gig and a half. Welp... looks like I'll be doing this for a while. This must be some smokin' kit if it's that huge. Yowza.

@larry... I am pretty psyched. Was just hoping to slap it around a bit tonight but I'm hungry and probably shouldn't stay up all night. I'm kind of wondering whether I should install these Rock legends files on my E drive though instead of the C. I've pretty much installed everything on my C drive so far and I've got plenty of room. The system is fast enough to handle it (from what Cake tech support said in regards to the dual drives). Meh. I guess I can just move them later if I run into problems.

Yanno... now that I'm kind of winding down I just want to thank, John again for those kind words. That was a very strong compliment from a user I have tons of respect for. I really did need that today. You rock, John as do the rest of you. I love this place and I only hope I can contribute enough to pay ya'll back for everything you've done for me over these past few months. Without you guys I'd have no clue even where to begin with half this stuff. Keep being awesome. :-)

Alright... took a little over an hour for all the Rock Legends downloads. Now I have created a sub folder in my BFD Eco folder on my desktop to toss all five compressed files into (because I like to be organized). I'm just gonna extract them all into the same folder. For those who don't know how to do this Right Click on the compressed file and select "Extract All". It will give you a destination path where the extracted files will land. Default is usually the folder you are already in (if you are in a folder). That is why it is good to create a new folder and toss the files into before extract. It avoids clutter.
