Just to follow up, it doesn't seem to work well with audio.
I tried it with a Scarlett 2i2 and a Presonus VSL22 and got nasty pops with both...oh well.

Well I get a nasty pop if I forget to turn the big monitor level knob off before powering up or down any ways. So Did you try that? I would think you got the big pop when you unplugged the usb cable too!
