This may be ignorant idiot advice, but try the old Service Center app. It still works as of last week. Do not know however where they put a cutoff point with old vs new stuff that is chained to the new Native Access program.
Old school allows you to retrieve the actual upgrade file onto your hard disc, if it works for the Reactor 6 transition. Less interference, crashes, flaws than the online updates once you have the file there on your hard drive and can execute without transfer glitches.
