Pace has released a free update for the iLok License Manager app for Mac and Windows that addresses a critical security flaw. This is a required update for all customers running iLok License Manager and those using software authorized through iLok.
The latest version of the iLok software may be downloaded from iLok.com. There are installers available for Mac (OS 10.7 and higher), Windows 7 and higher (32-bit and 64-bit versions).
 
I installed it today on my box and suddenly some blue screens of death appeared.
Did a rollback  and everything runs now as smooth as before.
 
Can anybody  confirm that ?

Tried to keep my cyber mouth shut about this issue, but couldn't resist. If the rollback works, don't mess with it until forced to.
 
I was too reactive to a similar email from Soundtoys saying if I want to continue using their plugs, I must upgrade to the latest and greatest I-Lok or else.
 
I've adopted Soen's advice and only have one I-Lok plug that I don't have control over. If I don't upgrade, what are they going to do?  More than one way to skin a raccoon if the lights go out.
 
Anyway, good that Lag has not experienced any problems. Some day I-Lok will work perfectly and I'll be out of a whining job.

I- lok update that is running on my system .

I think iLok drivers are a bit flaky these days with 3 versions of the USB licencors alone. I really need to get a new one. As it sometimes disconnects for no apparent reason forcing me to restart my machine to reuse it.

There was a problem last week with Izotope and iLok products - one day (after a windows update which may or may not had anything to do with it!!) All my Izotope products came up as unauthorized - they are all authorized on a physical iLok.
I tried to reauthorized but did not work.
Wrote to Izotope who got back to me immediately to say there was an issue with iLok / their products - no other iLok manufactures products I had seemed to be effected. 
Next day Izotope sent a note to update to new iLok version.
All now seems OK again.
I am on Windows 7 64bit, fully updated.
No idea if this has anything to do with current critical update, but might be the reason

This is what I see when I check for updates.  What specific version are you having problems with?
 
I haven't done this update because it has nothing for me.
