Have a template involving 5 instances of Kontakt player 5.2 all using LA scoring strings, one for each section. Has been working fine but now whenever i start X2 I get an instant crash citing a fatal error with module: system32\Rdas1110.dll being the culprit. I believe this is part of the octa capture driver 1.51.

I must add that nothing has been added/ subtracted form the PC since I turned it off last night and turned it on again this evening.
I have now reinstalled both the octa capture driver and kontakt player but the issue still remains.

Are the any PC guru's that can possibly help me here as I am completely stumped.?

I get that similar error and but I think in my case Amplitube is the trigger instead of Kontakt.  The research I have done points towards the octacapture driver, but I can't seem to find any resolution.

Are you saying that Sonar crashes immediately upon it starting, PRIOR to loading the project you describe?

OR, does Sonar start, but THEN crash when you try to open that project?

Hi Bob, yes sorry, I should have been clearer. Sonar starts fine, I choose to load last project .... all instances of kontakt load in background including samples but when the track view window appears (and console in other monitor) that's when I get the error message and sonar stopped responding popup.

Try starting a new project with the same setup.  I am wondering if the original project is somehow corrupted.

Bob,
I could do that but I spent many hours programming the 2nd movement of Griegs piano concerto so I could play over the top. My fear is that if I do that again, the same thing could happen and i could waste another chunk of my life. The project loads ok if I leave the octa-capture turned off so maybe I should try saving it under another name.
But..... it also happens when I try to load the LA scoring strings as a new project template. This is a deal breaker for me. If I can't get reliability within sonar I guess I will have to explore other options. I really don't want to do that.

I am not suggesting recreating it.  I am just suggesting setting up a new project to make sure it is only something in that project that is corrupt.

Just as a test.

Yes totally get that that bob and can I just say a massive thanks to all the people on here you take time out of your life for to help. It truly is appreciated.
I will of course try again but I am worried that this could strike at any time if I don't find the root cause. Hope you understand where I'm at.

Yes sir.  That's why I am trying to see if we can narrow it down to just that one project, which would mean either project-level corruption OR some bug caused by some combination of things in that project.  If this issue is occurring OUTSIDE of that project, then something more global in nature has occurred.

That was the thought behind asking you to just try that.
