When I said that I was also a caveman that did not mean that I stopped looking at what was offered!  It meant that I have my own preferred workflow.  This workflow works best for me, for instance I do not use comping, I learn the song prior to recording but I may punch in/out at times. HOWEVER I do look at all of the new options that the bakers offer and I do add things that enhance that workflow. Things like Melodyne, the improved console view, AD2, etc.
