  • Any way to HIDE an envelope?

The reason I'd like to hide envelopes, is so that I can freely drag clips around without constantly adding millions of new nodes each time. So I guess I have two questions here:

1) Is it possible to Sonar NOT to add millions of new nodes when I decide to drag a clip around?

and...

2) Is it possible to hide pesky envelopes if they happen to be bothering me.

THANKS GUYS!

I could be wrong but I don't think there is. The edit filter to which Mike refers is just that and edit filter so when you're clicking on clips etc. you don't accidentally select an envelope unless the filter is set to that envelope.

I don't think you can actually hide the automation line/data though, unless you delete it of course, which isn't exactly helpful.......

In 8.53 you could right click ad hide them, but since the new filter system was inplamented with X1 the feature disappeared.

Seems like such a simple feature- to be able to HIDE envelopes from view. I'm really surprised that this option has been removed. Despite the convenience of the new envelope system, it's still nice to get rid of that visual clutter sometimes.

Is there a way to keep envelopes from moving along with clips that I drag around my session?

Bah.

You could change the Color scheme to really "hide" unused envelopes out of view. that what I did, so they are barely noticeable until I shift click them.
