Greetings All:
Please forgive me if I'm in the wrong portion of the forum.

I recently upgraded to the latest version of Sonar Platinum (Hopkinton/Lpswitch and I noticed in one of my projects that the left channel from Prominy SR5 Bass wasn't producing sound in the console. As this happened once before, I simply added a new instance of the SR5, muted the original SR5, and continued work. Eventually confident that the new instance was working correctly, I deleted the original SR5 and saved the project. Note that prior to the upgrades, this was a "one-time" solution.

While working on the project again later that day, I again noticed that the left channel of the SR5 bass was not producing sound. I opened the VST and could see that both channels appeared to be working as far as the VST was concerned, but no sound at the console. I closed the project, reset the PC, restarted the project and observed the same results.

I eventually discovered that if I deleted the Ampeg SVX in the left channel, then sound would be produced at the console. The description may be too vague, but has anyone else observed this phenomenon? I mentioned the Sonar upgrades earlier, only because I never saw a situation like this prior to the upgrades (I'm not suggesting that this is a Sonar problem... yet). Note also, that this appears to be occurring in only one project so far.

If you have observed this before and discovered a fix, please post.

Thanks !

Hi. Could it be that you have the stereo interleave button (in Console View) set to stereo, and it is a mono signal? If you open the Console (D) and see for the interleave button

Best of luck.
