  • Can't install with Command Centre

I had to abort my initial install of Platinum and accessories as I was running out of drive space. So I cloned my C-drive to a bigger drive and started again. Now, when installing, certain 'shared components' will not install as the installer (Command Centre) is looking for the path E:/Program Files/ etc . . .
But I don't have an E drive so I'm not sure why this is happening. I checked the CC settings and they seem fine.
I'm on Windows 10

Thanks for any help '

Unplug your old drive.
How did you clone the drive?
What drive is windows on?

Hello! I found a 90% solution via a thread from last May and Susan B. had the correct answer. You have to go into the registry and delete the Cakewalk keys. A few other steps but it worked except for Cakewalk Sound Center which is bring up the same error - looking for the E Drive.
To answer your question I unplugged the old drive, I used EaseUS Tool to clone. Windows is on my new cloned drive.

If you are familiar with the registry you could search HKEY LOCAL MASCHINE and see what you have under E:\

I can't understand why this happened. All I can think of is..

a) Your clone software changed something.
b) You booted once with your clone drive as slave.

Make sure in CCC settings you are running verbose mode.

The cloning was easy but I had to do it twice, my process was convoluted. But I used a newly formatted drive and uninstalled all CW before cloning the 2nd time. The other drive is out of the machine. But when I first cloned I had the 2 drives in for a few days trying to figure out what to do next.
I found another File (VSTPlugin) in the regedit that was pointing to E drives so I removed that but still Sound Center wants the Edrive. I'll keep looking. Everything else seems ok.
Cheers

Did you try installing in verbose mode? You should get path settings that way if you do advanced install.
