I tried a 32 flat screen tv and just couldnt warm up to it, I think the resolution is different. I wound up going with HP 27. I wound say try it out and see if it works for you.

I have a 32" flat screen Magnavox LCD tv paired with an old 19" lcd computer monitor and both are set up for dual monitoring, which I really recommend.  I frequently find myself opening Sonar's browser, or any plug in's GUI in the smaller monitor and it is very cool.

Aside from a random problem displaying Ozone completely (which inexplicably fixed itself), I really love the Magnavox.  For the most part, everything is just bigger; however, I actually pick up one extra Sonar module on the 32".

Stuff will just be bigger.  It's still 1920x1080 (pixels)  They only way you can get more stuff on the screen it to get more pixels.  A 4K monitor will let you put 4X as much stuff on the screen.  If you want more stuff on a single screen, that's the way to go IMO.

Peace, Ian

A lot of that depends on the max resolution your new flat screen can support, as well as your video card offering a matching resolution.
If the native resolution of the flat screen is higher than your computer monitor, you should have room to display more on the the screen.

Or, what Ian just said...
