Good point about leaving Snap off, Jonesey.  I always do this as well since not only are my performances never aligned with themselves, but never really aligned with snap intervals either.

Yeah, my timing varies from day to day, hell even hour to hour, but I'm never sample accurate Lol

Why do those who left the product always feel the need to add a "neener-neener" to their post.

I am very sorry, I'm no neener-neenering to anything, I just read the post before me which speaks of Studio One, and I comment, because because of the forum deals below I find crossgrade from Platinum to Studio One Professional, very good deal, so I buy it, and I like it very much, makes much more plain sense the ways it works, and things like the scratch pads and arrange view make working much better and easier for me, and all the other things and ways of the program, and it just feels very solid and polished and professional. Yes exciting with a new toy, but no not just excitement for new things, they are things that make using much easier to me and it makes a lot of sense, I wouldn't want to be without those features now. But you think what you like, really is no bother to me, I am not insecure in what I use, it is only software, I don't hug and kiss it before sleep, that may be you thing, but not me, it has no feelings, I find a better one I use it ?

Once again sorry, I only came to find a solution to Sonar Platinum since ipswich update, and I also find I'm not liking the every month update thing, I know I don't have to, and I find good deal to crossgrade to Studio One on these forums deal section, and boom. I have not left and 'neener neener' whatever infantile thing that is, I was still Sonar user from Sonar 7 Producer, finding a solution to after ipswich.

Sorry to anger your insecurity.

Richard

It has nothing to do with insecurity, it has to do with the urge some have to knock something down that a great many folks love, and use daily. I'm sure you would not appreciate something you like being put down as "they" walk out the door.

No
and Studio One is the bomb, I just get it on crossgrade from Sonar Platinum couple days ago thanks to forum here and use it constantly and it is very awesome, solid, fast, and polished professional feel, love the scratch pads and the arrange, mastering, everything, and it just seem more natural to me a lot of the ways and things. Quickly becoming my number one best DAW

Just a quick post in support of your original response and to encourage you to continue to post your opinions.  There is nothing wrong with discussing similarities and differences between DAWs as well as what your preferences are.  All the major modern DAWs are both inventive and derivative in their origins and it will be helpful for us to hear what works in other products besides Sonar.   Studio one 3 has sparked a bit of interest because of its clean look and scratch pad.  This posting was, IMHO, perfectly appropriate and positive in tone.

Observations about the strengths of other DAWs are common and if Craig Anderton is allowed to complement features in other products it is only fair that you are as well.  It is important for readers to avoid applying improper syllogisms by assuming an "exclusive OR".  For example; just because I think Jeff Beck is a great guitarist doesn't mean I think Hendrix isn't.

Please keep us up to date on your progress and never let us dampen your enthusiasm!

Often I have selected only one track but Sonar thinks I have several tracks, so the copied content ends several tracks below where it should.  I know I have only selected and copied one track because if I go back, select Paste to One Track, and pick the track, it works fine.
