OK...I'm at a crossroads where I'm ready to....gulp....break out of my normal Stylus RMX routine of loops and look at the countless other features Sonar offers.  Honestly...I'm scared because of my ignorance to it, and as a songwriter, I love being able to use Stylus during the writing process as tempos change, etc.

Quite simply...any suggestions to the best way to get my feet wet within Sonar?  I've only ever used Stylus...and rex loops within Stylus...so wave file loops, groove clips, loop construction, etc., has so far been untapped...but I notice a lot of samples I've been looking at purchasing are available only as wave files, and therefore I can't use them within Stylus.

Figured I'd start here before I wander aimlessly around the internet.  Thanks in advance!

Open SONAR, drag a wav from the media browser into track view, right click the clip and create a groove clip loop? SONAR already has a lot to get your feet wet... Take off your shoes first =D

Sonar is very underrated when using loops.

I've done a ton of posts with references to resources and articles about loops. I should really just create a Word doc and cut 'n' paste every time this comes up!

Might want to check out a recent tip of the week, "16 Things You Need to Know About Loops." And it really does seem these are things you need to know

Thank you Craig.  I'll look right now.  And when you have the Word doc ready, I'll be able to read through it... ;)
