Can't seem to find the answer and I'm not fond of fooling around and guessing while in the program.
Thanks.

Drag the midi out of EZD2 into a track in Sonar. Then either freeze the track, or bounce (the audio) to another track.

You can do that right from EZDrummer 2

I didn't make it in EZD, I auditioned the loops and drug them straight into Sonar. I will have to watch a bounce video. I haven't had the need to bounce as yet.

Just freeze the synth from the synth rack

Select both the EZ drummer synth track AND the midi track that feeds it, then from the track menu choose 'bounce to track', selecting 'tracks' as the source option in the dialog box that pops up.

The advantage of just freezing the synth is if you want to change something, you just unfreeze it, change the midi & re-freeze.
With bouncing, you have to jump through a couple of more hoops to do the same thing.

I ended up doing the freeze. Good to know it was the thing to do.....at this point in the project.

There are times when bouncing can be beneficial - for archival purposes for example, when it's not guaranteed that a particular vsti would be available or even supported on newer OS/Daw versions.
