  • Vx 64 on Platinum randomly freezes the audio driver opening a project from the new start window

It's happening that, if I open a project with any track or clip with VX64 active on it, the audio engine stops with orrible pops. It is necessary to restart the project clicking on the project file and usually it works.
But I see that VX64 has become very unstable.
To be honest I'm working on a PC with windows 10 64bit and TC konnekt ASIO audio driver still not updated to win10. But everything was working very well, also in very complex projects, until i used VX64.

I have the same problem. But if you open an FX chain and it has vx-64 in it and you take the vx-64 from that fx chain it will work properly but I did not try to save it and open it back up.

I have encountered this problem as well but it is not something I can reproduce; it seems to happen randomly and the cure seems random, too. If someone can figure out a way to reproduce it I'm sure the Bakers can fix it.

Open the vx-64 and  turn on the Tube EQ or Delay and you will hear the problem.

Thanks

No, that's still not reproducible. I've had it work with the Tube EQ and the Delay enabled. I do think the Tube EQ is the root of the problem, but can't come up with a setting that causes it to fail every time in every project.

I really don't figure out how to reproduce the problem that happens radomly. I changed plugin because I need to go on producing. Hope this will be fixed because VX64 it's a very good help managing voice tracks.

Agree, it's a great plug-in. Sometimes if I type E to turn off all effects then type E again to turn them back on, it works. Other times, if I close SONAR itself (not just the project) and re-open, everything works as it should.

Certainly I can say that, if I start Sonar and then I open a project containing VX64 chosing it in the new start menu, the problem happens very often. Otherwise, if I start project directly by clicking on the project file, often, but not always, it works correctly. By the way I disabled the start menu because of this behaviour, but also because it opens the default cw project folder and not the one I'm using (on a different HD). IMO start menu needs to be twicked...
