According to Sonar Patinum Reference Guide pg 908 it stores NRPNs in a standard way:  CC99 and CC98, CC6 and CC38

However, to enter one it appears you must type in a decimal number not easily converted?    When I export a midi file with a NRPN from Sonar, and import it to Cubase, the CCs look correct (Edit List view).   In Sonar however "Event List", the numbers are all still in decimal and it is very difficult to make sense  of them.

Anyone have ideas for how to handle NRPNs in sonar?

Here's how it used to work in earlier versions (it should still be the same formula):
(CC #99 [MSB] x 128) + CC #98 [LSB] = decimal number from 0-16,383

You'll need to know either the MSB or LSB to crack the code.

I am not sure what the problem is... In the event list I see NRPNs as such, with decimal ID (0..16383) and decimal value (0..16383). I can copy/paste them, modify id/value/time by inc/dec with mouse move or entering concrete numbers.

tanks b rock ... good info ... I think I can reverse engineer that into what to put decimal for what I see as NRPN.
