I thought I saw a thread on this but I can't find it. Prior to the ipswich update the new start screen menu didn't work. Since the ipswich update it is working except that a couple of projects won't open if my network card is diabled. I get a message saying the path to my project cannot be found. Was there a fix for this?

That post was regarding the fix for special characters. It works now, but only if connected to the internet. Noel confirmed this a bug.

Does your file name/directory have a special character in it?

Edit: on my cell, but the above is in the main sticky Ipswich thread.

I use hyphen's in project and directory names but other projects with hyphen's open fine when not connected to the internet. I don't think hyphen's are special characters though. I'll change the name of the project to see if it will open.

It seems there is no particular reason a project will or will not open when not connected to the internet. I created several projects, some using hyphen's and some just letters and numbes because I use dates when naming a project so I use hyphen's. If the project opens from the start screen with hyphen's in it's name then it will always open regardless of being or not being connected to the internet. If it doesn't then it will never open when not connected to the internet. The start screen seems to do what it wants. It doesn't make sence. Maybe this will start happening to others and a cause can be found and fixed.

Ok so it turns out that this little character in the brackets [ ' ] that I have in the name of the project that won't open if not connected to the internet is the culprit and I guess considered a special character.
