Hello
Wayfarer,
Paul,
Tim,
FoggyMindTheBand,
John B, and
Daryl. First of all, thanks to each of you for taking the time to listen and offer me your suggestions. I thought that I would respond to all since there definitely a consensus that I used too much reverb (I can't help it -- I just love the stuff) and that the vocals should come forward a bit. Since it was almost unanimous, I must have messed up on that accord. Soooo, I re-recorded the lead vocal. I have to do that because I used my favourite FX box (Boss Digital Delay) and not a VST plug-in that I could just delete. I do have to admit that it does sound better --- hopefully, not too dry. The timing is a wee bit better on the harmonies now also.
BTW, I am not clever enough to use the trick that Wayfarer mentioned nor did i use reverse reverb. I used my second favourite (or maybe it is a tie with the Boss) FX box my Zoom G1 set on Slow Attack probably setting S2 or S3. It kind of slowly walks in to the note and does kind of give a reverse effect.
Again, thanks for your suggestions and comments. They were spot on and I appreciate it very much.
Regards.
