A official wireless control option for tablets and phones would be a huge positive for people who tend to work alone and aren't always able to be in front of the computer. As someone who does voice over work, it would allow me to be at the mic and more able to control the DAW from there.

I'd like to see a dedicated "touch dock" that could be used on a directly connected touch screen and/or remotely on another machine/tablet with appropriate touch-centric controls and sizing. Ideally one could dock plugins/synths there as well.

If you have an iDevice there is an app called iDisplay which will add your iPad or iPhone as another display to your mac or PC.
Drag Sonar to that screen (I'd recommend an iPad) and take the whole DAW into the vocal booth with you.

It's not a remote control app, or remote access to your PC, it's a true extra display and the touch screen works.

Myself and many others don't own any iDevices. I personally don't like Apple products.
 
The biggest problem with what you're suggesting though is interface size. When you use a tablet that doesn't have its own GUI specifically designed for it, everything shrinks making it harder to do things like editing or on the fly leveling. It essentially becomes counter-productive to what you're trying to do.

TerraSin has a great idea! An app that would allow you to use your android or tablet as a remote using blue tooth would be great. Making sonar capable of receiving these Bluetooth signals would be awesome. Having a GUI on my Tab or Android device to control Sonar would totally Rock!
 
A GUI with the typical play record and stop rewind and forward buttons on my galaxy S-5 would be great. An undo button and a redo button in that GUI would be great too. This would mean that once I get into position and I am ready to record the tracks, I don't need to worry about getting up every time I make a mistake.  
 
Recording music by myself is always challenging. My work around has been using a wireless keyboard and mouse. If I need to start over control Z becomes my friend.

If you want an exact clone on the screen and have control of it use VNC which will work cross platform and generally free.

The problem is my recording computer (desktop) does not have wifi and it is not plugged into a router except to get windows updates on occasion. It would be cool to have an app that is able to do this through my Bluetooth USB adapter. The app could give the option to use wifi or Bluetooth.
 
I am not looking for an exact clone of the screen. All I need is a remote control that will help me control Sonar during a recording session. it would be great to have an undo feature for when I make a mistake, and maybe the ability to move the now time. I don't need a lot of features in the app itself.
 
It really is a pain to get up and move around the microphones to restart the recording process. It is a pain to go back and position myself the way I was sitting in time to record the track. This would make it so easy to record music. That is why I use my wireless keyboard and mouse. But that approach is not perfect either. My phone or my tab device would work better
 
My screen is big enough and I can see it across the room.

I bought a Frontier Designs Tranzport device several years ago, and still using it.  One of the best investments I made, but it was rather pricey.

If you have an iPad and run a version of Windows that has a remote desktop server built in Microsoft have a free remote desktop client that works well over networking though it does blank your PC display when active.

For remote DAW control V-Control is pretty good and uses the Mackie protocol with Sonar.
