Any issues with leaving it setup as long as the power supply is turned off? It's a Stellar CM5.

I usually disconnect it every night-hassle.

It is good practice to cover a large condenser to keep dust off the film, but otherwise there shouldn't be issues.

As mettelus says, turn it off and cover it. That is what most studios do.

Great Folks - Should have asked a long time ago. I have a great cover for it and I'll leave it setup and just turn of everything else including the "CM5 power box."

As long as its on a "sturdy" stand and out of the way; cover it.

It is very secure and out of the way of traffic in the home studio. I have some remy martin covers for it-nice velour type material

Tip: Anybody have an SM7b? The big extra foam windscreen makes a great dust cover for most U47/87-style LDCs. You can also use it in place of a pop filter on such condensers!
